Integrative Complementary Natural Medicine: Ayurvedic Medicine Practitioner in Sandton

Ayurvedic medicine is an ancient system of holistic healing that originated in India over 5,000 years ago. It is based on the belief that health and wellbeing depend on a delicate balance between the mind, body, and spirit, and that each person has a unique natural constitution or dosha. The three doshas—Vata, Pitta, and Kapha—are biological energies derived from the five elements (earth, water, fire, air, and ether) and govern all physical and mental processes in the body.

As an Ayurvedic Medicine Practitioner, my focus lies in restoring and promoting long-term vitality and balance in my patience by rectifying their lifestyle, through meditation, proper eating, and the supplementation of Ayurvedic Medicine.

The three doshas (the concept is about your constitution) and how they can impact your health when they are out of balance

  • Vata (air + ether): linked to movement, communication, and the nervous system. When out of balance, it can lead to anxiety, insomnia, and digestive issues.
  • Pitta (fire + water): governs digestion, metabolism, and transformation. Imbalances may manifest as inflammation, irritability, or skin problems.
  • Kapha (earth + water): associated with structure, stability, and immunity. Excess Kapha can lead to sluggishness, congestion, and weight gain.
